View Count: 326 ![]() This helmet was forged by the gods, as a way to communicate with the gods, in dare situations. Unfortunatley, the owner, a powerful priest lost it during his death in a terrible war. Since then the Narthex has been lost. It has appeared from time to time, with various powerful characters. Information Anyone finding this helmet cant really know what it is. They can feel that there is power in it. Unfortunatley, no identify spells can reveal what those powers are. By putting the helmet on your head you activate its power. The second the helmet is put on your head, time will cease to flow. Everything around you will just stop moving... And you. You will be in a dark, misty place. All that you can see is dark fog around you. You have appeared in another place. A short while after you arrive here, a man will come through the mist. He looks as any normal man would, clothed as any normal man would. This man will walk up to the one with the helmet, and wait for him to speak. Those who come here will also notice that all their magical abilities are supressed. Upon saying something and it isn't what this guy was expecting, he will wave with his hand, and you will be back to the normal world. One that is smart enough, could talk his way in. But that would have to be a really important event, such as a very large war and so on. Gained entrance Only those who knows what place this is, and utter its name will be given access. ~"Take me to the Halls of the Gods" Kepper: "Welcome to the Halls of the Gods!" This keeper will then guide you through the mist, and you will appear in a large hall. All around you, there are 12 high seats, occupied by each god (if still alive). This is a place where one can ask for guidance or simply want to ask or talk to the gods about something. Adventure idea An adventure that talks of an upcoming event, a terrible event. Something that includes the gods. The character knows that the helmet can help, but he doesn't know how. Until finally he have talked his way through the keeper. :-) The player will then be able to put forth the upcomming event to the gathered gods. Some god: "Why do I care? It doesn't affect me." Some other god: "We do not meddle with mortals. This doesn't concern us." etc Until the Reaper will say: "Silence! What he describes goes deeper and stretches way back, before your time. Let him speak." This is to show that the Reaper is the oldest and perhaps the wisest of the gods. |
